Purpose and Responsibilities
The Permanent Judicial Commission (PJC) is responsible for deciding cases transmitted to it as per the Book of Order. Elected by the Presbytery, this committee shall be composed of a minimum of 7 members, Ministers of Word and Sacrament and Ruling Elders as equal as possible.
The PJC has no permanent Chair. Each PJC shall meet and elect, from its members, a moderator and a clerk.
Members of PJC
The term of each member shall be six years. No person who has served on a PJC for a full term of 6 years shall be eligible for re-election until 4 years have elapsed after the expired 6-year term.
