Pray for those living with food insecurity, and for the hands in our community working to feed others. 

A prayer you may use: 

In the midst of our secure lives, when we drive to work, walk down the streets, go to school, or listen to the news, we see the unfair distribution of goods and wealth, here in our community, in our nation, and around the world.  

We recognize that we are privileged to live in a place like this (describe the place you live in) 

We confess that we are beneficiaries of this unjust situation (describe specific injustices dear to your heart)  

And we commit our actions to change the living situation here and around the world for your people, God, so that one day nobody need worry how to feed themselves or their loved ones, today or tomorrow, and that we all enjoy the abundance of goods, wealth, and life you bless us with. 

Grant us courage not to be afraid and to bring the needed change here and everywhere. Amen.
