Pray for the unsheltered, those living with housing insecurity, those affected by systemic violence and redlining, those who are fighting for affordable housing and equity, and for those providing shelter and resources to the homeless. 

Prayer you may use: 

God of shelter and protection, we recognize that not all people are living safely in homes, with a roof over their head and a warm place to stay. We see men, women, children, young, and old walking up and down the streets, sitting in groups together, carefully watching the little belongings they have to keep them warm and safe at night when they sleep on the streets of our towns and neighborhoods. Open our hearts and move our minds that we fight for the homeless youth, the homeless elderly, the homeless parents. Let us be advocates fighting for affordable housing, shelters, and programs to fight housing insecurity. Protect those in the streets while you push us into the uncomfortable responsibility to advocate for a better world. Amen
